Private Residence Tarrant Place London
In the heart of Marylebone just off York Street lies a picturesque mews hidden behind St. Mary’s church. Here we completely stripped both the up- and the downstairs and created a new spacious lay out. Turning the ground floor into a loft space with open kitchen, living room and with the clever use of the marble clad wine fridges, both an entrance and a dining room. The ground floor long wall concentrates necessary storage room, a burnt copper fireplace and part of the kitchen. Cupboards and kitchen are all made from silky Corian panels complemented with slabs of bookmarked Calacatta marble. Stainless steel touches by the incorporation of a dual fuel Wolf range and double fronted Sub Zero fridge. Below the kitchen window we have created a window seat in French leather to read a book or chat with the cook.
Upstairs we connected a series of small bedrooms and bathrooms into one large en suite master bedroom. Including a double width walk in closet with French leather doors, silky Corian and marble vanity units, a marble steam room and Philippe Starck shower heaven and an Italian silk bedroom. The children have a separate made to measure bathroom and for their bedroom we have designed a special wall with bunkbeds, cupboards and 2 stacked playhouses. New Hungarian Point parquet combined with under floor heating throughout the house make sure it feels like home in any part of the house. All doors are wall to ceiling and the doorframes are seamless to ensure a clean finish. Throughout the entire project we carefully combined high quality materials and their intrinsic textures, e.g. solid oak with French leather, Corian with silk and burnt copper, Calacatta marble stainless steel, silk and.
Recently we have installed a new outside kitchen window fence allowing the owners to grow their own herbs from the kitchen window. And we’re in the process of producing a bespoke wineglass chandelier. So stay with us on this one…the fun is not over yet…
